Could There Be a New System in the Tropics that Will Affect Florida?
After all of the rain yesterday, Long Island is in store for some nice weather for the next few days. However, there is a slight chance of a stray shower late this morning into early evening. Sunday and Monday will be sunny days with virtually no chance of rain and temps in the 80's.
While the current tropical system in the Atlantic is dissipating and will be a non-factor, the GFS is showing that the next system may affect areas in the Caribbean and possibly Florida around July 20th. It certainly bears watching, but there's no reason to be concerned just yet. Here's the map from the GFS for July 20th:
