It looks like the main batch of rain for Long Island will move through between 8 AM and 12:00 Noon today. The image below is from the HRRR short-range model showing rain covering Long Island at 10:00 this morning. After the main batch moves through, scattered showers and thunderstorms are still likely in the late afternoon and evening. The weekend still looks great, but there is a 20% chance of a brief stray shower on Saturday late morning into mid-afternoon. Next week is looking mostly dry, with the exception of Tuesday.
