Tropical Storm Don Has Formed, But Where is it Headed?


Tropical Storm Don formed yesterday in the Atlantic Ocean, and it is heading west toward Grenada. Top sustained winds are 50 mph with gusts up to 65 mph. It's a compact storm, and it has the potential to reach hurricane status later this week. The good news for the United States is that it is pretty far south, and it should continue westward into the southern Caribbean Sea and skirt the northern coasts of Venezuela and Colombia before heading towards Central America, possibly making landfall in Nicaragua or Costa Rica.
