Potential for Flooding Rain and the Best Weather of the Summer
Today will be mostly cloudy and cool on Long Island with temperatures in the low 70's, and there is a slight chance of a light shower. Tomorrow will be mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid to upper 70's and low levels of humidity. Increasing clouds on Thursday with temperatures around 80 degrees. Rain is likely Thursday night into early Saturday morning with the potential for locally heavy downpours and flash flooding. 1 to 3 inches of rain are likely in that time period. However, this should be following by the best stretch of weather so far this summer from Saturday to Wednesday with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80's.
