GFS and NAM Models Showing Different Placement of Storm for Friday Night into Saturday Morning

After beautiful weather today on Long Island, tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a stray shower. There is a better chance of a few showers later Thursday night. However, the GFS and the NAM models are showing different outcomes for the location of the storm for Friday night into Saturday morning. The GFS is showing widespread rain for Long Island Friday evening into late morning on Saturday; however, the NAM model keeps the storm further south with essentially no rain for Long Island. This will have to be monitored with future model runs, but there will most likely be at least some rain for Friday night into Saturday morning. After the storm pulls away, it should clear up Saturday afternoon, and then with high pressure in control, there looks to be a stretch of nice weather at least into the middle of next week.
