Update on the Coastal Storm
Today will be mostly cloudy on Long Island with just a slight chance of a stray shower and temperatures in the upper 70's. Tomorrow will be partly sunny in the morning, but clouds will increase in the afternoon with temperatures in the low 80's. Any showers with the approaching storm should hold off until later tomorrow night. It appears that the heaviest rain will be on Saturday from 2 AM to 2 PM, and winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Rainfall amounts will most likely be 1 to 2 inches, but higher amounts are possible if the storm comes a little farther north. The big change to the forecast is that the showers may linger into Sunday. However, next week looks like a sunny and dry week with temperatures and humidity increasing by the middle to end of the week. I will post an update later this afternoon or early this evening.
