Where Will the Heaviest Rain Occur With the Upcoming Coastal Storm?


Ahead of the storm, Friday on Long Island will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 70's to low 80's with a slight chance of a stray shower. The rain will really begin close to midnight with the bulk of the rain falling between midnight Friday night and Noon on Saturday. Saturday morning will be rainy, breezy, and cool with temperatures in the upper 60's to low 70's. However, the heavy flooding rain should stay well south of Long Island. It now appears that the 3 to 6 inch rainfall totals will be confined to parts of southern New Jersey, southeastern Pennsylvania, and parts of Maryland and Delaware. Based on the latest model runs, Long Island may only see between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain.
