Timing the Thunderstorms Tomorrow Morning on Long Island and a Look at the Potential Hurricane
After some thunderstorms this morning, today will be partly cloudy on Long Island with temperatures in the low 80's and only a slight chance of a stray shower in the afternoon. The cold front will be approaching early tomorrow morning, and the best chance of showers and thunderstorms is between 7 AM and 1 PM. Sunday still looks to be a beautiful day, but Monday will be rainy.
Regarding the potential for a hurricane to develop, the GFS model has remained consistent, and the Canadian and HWRF (hurricane model) are both showing the hurricane as well. However, the Euro is not showing development. Instead, the Euro shows a different tropical wave developing into a hurricane and heading into Mexico just south of Texas.
