Tropical Storm Gert Finally Forms, but Harvey May be the Storm to Watch
Tropical Storm Gert finally developed from a tropical wave northwest of the Bahamas, but it won't be any threat to land as it will pass between the east coast of the United States and Bermuda.
Many of the major computer models, including the GFS and Euro, are showing a new tropical wave that recently emerged from Africa may develop into a hurricane in the coming days. The future track is still uncertain, as the GFS is showing it move north of the Bahamas and threaten the east coast of the United States. The Euro model is showing it head on a more southerly track.
