Nor'Easter to Bring Rain and Wind to Long Island and New England
A cold front approaching from the west will combine with a post-tropical low pressure system coming up from the south to produce a period of moderate to heavy rain for Long Island Sunday into Sunday night. At this point, it appears that the heaviest rain totals of 4 to 6 inches will be to the north of Long Island. Long Island may see up to 2 inches of rain, but there is still uncertainty in the exact track and strength of the intensifying storm as it moves up the coast. There is also the potential for 50 mph wind gusts, but those strongest winds may be to the northeast of Long Island.
The weather for Halloween on Long Island looks good with mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the upper 50's.
