How Much Snow on Long Island Later Today?
The third accumulating snow in less than 7 days will occur for Long Island later today into tonight with an offshore storm. Snow should begin in Nassau County between 2:00 and 3:00 this afternoon and between 3:00 and 4:00 for Suffolk. Most of Long Island will see 1 to 2 inches, but eastern Suffolk may get 2 to 3 inches. The snow should end west to east between 9 PM (western Nassau) and 11 PM (eastern Suffolk). The highest amounts of 3 to 4 inches will be in central and southern NJ.
The weather for this weekend will be mostly sunny for Saturday and Sunday with high temperatures in the mid to upper 30's and lows in the 20's. There doesn't look to be any accumulating snow for next week.
