Where Will the Snow Fall on Christmas?
There will be a surge of mild air heading to Long Island before Christmas. Temperatures will be in the mid 50's with rain all day on Saturday the 23rd. Christmas Eve should be mostly cloudy with temperatures around 50 degrees, but a system will be moving up the coast, and rain should arrive around midnight. The rain should continue on Christmas Day, but as the storm system pulls away, there is a chance that it may end as a brief period of snow on Long Island Christmas night. The best chance of a White Christmas will be from central PA up through VT and NH. The storm track is critical in determining the rain/snow line, and this forecast will be refined in the coming days.
