Long Island Outlook and Hurricane Bud
1) For Long Island... increasing sunshine today with temps around 70 degrees. Mostly sunny tomorrow with temps in the low 70's. Just a few showers Wednesday afternoon and evening, and then nice warm weather for Thursday through the weekend with highs mostly around 80 degrees.
2) The Euro has backed off on the extreme heat for June 19th, but the Euro ensembles show incredible uncertainty with temps on that day ranging from the low 70's to the mid 90's.
3) Hurricane Bud (see images below) has formed in the Pacific, and it has maximum sustained winds of 105 mph with gusts to 125 mph. It will strengthen further today before it starts to weaken tomorrow over cooler waters.
