Long Island Weather and Trouble in the Tropics
- Rain for Long Island late tonight into tomorrow early afternoon, but great weather for Saturday through Tuesday! - Post Tropical Cyclone Leslie is monstrous in size (1st and 2nd images) and has hurricane-force winds and has a 90% chance of becoming a Subtropical or Tropical system by Saturday. Newfoundland is a potential eventual target, although it may pass to its SE. - Tropical Storm Kirk will be affecting the Lesser Antilles today. - Hurricane Rosa will bring heavy rain and wind to the southwestern United States next week. There may be widespread 40 to 70 mph wind gusts with potentially 100 mph gusts at higher elevations. - Still watching for a potential tropical system between Oct 8th and 11th.
