A Look Ahead at the Storm/Front Next Week and the Cold to Follow
Update on the Tuesday night/ Wednesday morning storm and the cold to follow: - Besides the Lake Effect snow (see 1st image), it will be uneventful for New York and New England the next few days. - The offshore storm for Sunday afternoon/night has trended a little closer to North Carolina and Cape Cod, but it should still stay just offshore with the snow. - We have a frontal system/storm for Tuesday night into Wednesday morning that will bring some rain changing to snow for Long Island and southeastern New England, and then very cold behind the storm. Right now, it looks like an inch or less of snow for Long Island.
- High temperatures for Long Island from next Wednesday to next Saturday are expected to stay below freezing. - There is the potential for some snow next weekend, but confidence is low at this time as it may just stay cold and dry.
