Potential for Snow on Tuesday on Long Island
A cold front will move through Long Island tomorrow, so it will turn windy and cold tomorrow night into Saturday. While the winds will diminish Saturday night, the cold air will last into next week. A weak system may bring some snow showers to Long Island early Monday morning, but a more significant storm will be approaching for Tuesday. At this time, the most likely scenario is for snow to develop on Tuesday morning or early afternoon with the potential for 1 to 3 inches of snow before it changes to sleet and then rain Tuesday afternoon.
