Rainy Week For Long Island, But What About The Weekend?

- While it will be a rainy week for Long Island with 2 to 4 inches of rain expected through Friday afternoon, we should come out squeaky clean on the other side (Shawshank reference) with a beautiful weekend with mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 70's.

- Waves of low pressure will ride along the stationary frontal boundary this week giving us periods of rain at times. While it's difficult to pinpoint the exact timing, there may be a break on Thursday before the final wave brings rain late Thursday night into Friday afternoon.

- Mostly cloudy today with a slight chance of a passing shower, and there will be a better chance of rain for tonight into tomorrow.
