Forecast for Long Island Through Thanksgiving Weekend

- Today: Mostly sunny with highs around 50 degrees with only a light breeze from the WSW to SW. - Tomorrow: Best day of the week as it will be sunny with highs close to 60 degrees with a light breeze from the SW. - Wednesday: Cloudy and continued mild with a chance of some showers at times between around Noon and 8 PM. Highs mostly in the mid to upper 50's. Clearing and windy at night with gusts over 30 mph. (Note: There will be accumulating snow for northern New England Wednesday night into Thanksgiving morning, mostly for northern NH into central and northern Maine). - Thanksgiving: Partly to mostly sunny, windy, and chilly with highs in the upper 40's. The wind will mainly be out of the northwest with gusts over 35 mph. - Friday and Saturday: Mostly sunny with highs in the low 40's. There could be increasing clouds late Saturday depending on the timing of the next storm. - The Euro has trended colder with the storm for Sunday afternoon into Monday morning and is showing a mix changing to snow for southern New England, but rain on Long Island. There is considerable uncertainty though, and I will continue to watch this and update. Some of the Euro ensembles do have snow on Long Island (see 2nd image). - After the Sun/Mon storm, next Tuesday and Wednesday look cold and dry with the next storm possibly for next Thursday/ Friday (December 5th/6th). - 1st image: Projected temperatures for Long Island for the next 10 days from the Euro. - 2nd image: Projected snowfall for Long Island for the next 15 days as a running total from every Euro ensemble member. - 3rd to 5th images: Maps from the Euro for 7 PM Sunday, 1 AM next Monday, and 7 AM next Monday.
