- The mild weather continues today with highs in the low to mid 50's for Long Island with increasing clouds this afternoon/evening. - Periods of showers tomorrow with highs close to 50 degrees. There will be a lull in the action tomorrow night into Wednesday afternoon with just some spotty drizzle and fog before the main area of rain moves in Wednesday night into Thursday morning before ending around mid-morning. - Clearing skies Thursday afternoon, but it will be windy and chilly with gusts up to 30 mph and temps falling from the upper 40's in the morning to the low 40's by late afternoon. - It will be a cold weekend with highs in the upper 30's on Friday and mid to upper 30's on Saturday and Sunday. The weekend will be mostly dry, but there is a very slight chance of some snow showers. - It will then warm up again next week before turning somewhat colder again, and a few of the Euro ensembles are showing snow around March 7th or so, but the odds are low. - 1st and 2nd images: Projected snowfall through 1 PM Friday from the Euro and Euro ensemble mean, respectively. - 3rd image: Projected temperatures with ranges for Long Island for the next 15 days from the Euro ensembles. - 4th image: Projected snowfall for Long Island for the next 15 days as a running total from every Euro ensemble member.
