Outlook for Long Island

See the "My Personal Weatherman" Facebook page for frequent updates.

After a stretch of sunny and cooler weather with low humidity on Long Island and the northeast, more typical June weather is coming with increased humidity and warmer/ hotter weather, especially next week. - From today through Monday, there will be a lot more in the way of clouds (there will still be some sun), and it will be fairly humid with dew points generally expected to be in the mid 60's. There will also be a 20% chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm, but the chances are higher for inland areas to the west of NYC. Highs will mostly be in the mid to upper 70's today, near 80 tomorrow, in the low 80's this weekend, and the low to mid 80's on Monday. - Tuesday and Wednesday will be hot with highs in the mid to upper 80's, especially for northern and western Long Island. The south shore and east end will be cooler.
