- While it will be humid today (and hot, see heat index temps in the 2nd image), tomorrow will only be moderately humid. The real humid weather starts on Thursday and may last through next Wednesday with dew points basically in the 70's the entire time on Long Island, and of course there will be periods of showers and thunderstorms with some heavy downpours.
- You all know about the really hot weather on Thursday.
- While Friday and Saturday won't be washouts, there will be some showers/thunderstorms each day, especially late Friday into Friday night. While the timing on Saturday is still uncertain and there could be a morning shower, in the afternoon there may only be some widely scattered thunderstorms with the best chance being for western Long Island and inland areas. It's still 4 days away, so let's see how things look when we get within range of the high-resolutions models.
- No tropical storms or hurricanes are expected in the Atlantic Basin for the next 10 days.
