A few more nice days before some unsettled weather:

- There is still some uncertainty as to exactly when some showers will move in on Sunday for Long Island; the GFS is showing it by late morning, the Euro has it for the evening, and the Canadian has it for Monday morning.

- The highest rainfall totals will be for eastern areas, as you can see in the 2nd image.


LONG ISLAND FORECAST:

Today: Sunny and a little breezy with highs in the upper 50's. Wind out of the WSW at 10 to 15 mph in the morning and then out of the SW at 15 to 20 mph with gusts to 25 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight: Mostly clear with lows in the low to mid 40's. Wind out of the WSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Tomorrow: Sunny with highs in the low 60's. Wind nearly calm in the morning and then out of the SW at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tomorrow night: Mostly clear with lows in the upper 40's. Wind out of the SSW at around 5 mph.

Saturday: Sunny with highs in the mid 60's. Wind nearly calm in the morning and then out of the S at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday: Cloudy with a 60% chance of showers by around mid afternoon with highs in the low 60's. Wind out of the NE at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

Monday: Cloudy with showers at times with highs in the mid 60's. Wind out of the NE at 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday: Cloudy in the morning and partly to mostly cloudy in the afternoon with highs in the upper 60's. Wind out of the NE at around 5 mph in the morning and then out of the SE at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

Wednesday: A chance of showers in the morning and then partly to mostly sunny in the afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 60's. Wind at around 5 mph from varying directions in the morning and then out of the SW at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
