A look at the Long Island forecast with a very warm/hot Saturday with a cold front later on Sunday:

- A couple of pretty nice days now (although it will be windy today) with lower humidity, but there will be some more clouds this afternoon as a secondary cold front moves through and then increasing mid to upper-level clouds tomorrow afternoon with rain for tomorrow night into Thursday morning (2nd image is for 2 AM Thursday).

- Saturday still looks very warm to hot with low 90's inland, 90 degrees for NYC, mid 80's for Nassau, and mostly low 80's in Suffolk.

- A cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms around late afternoon on Sunday, and then cooler and less humid for early to mid next week before it warms up again for next weekend.


LONG ISLAND FORECAST:

Today: Sunny in the morning and partly cloudy in the afternoon, and it will be breezy/windy with low humidity with highs mostly in the mid 70's. Wind out of the W at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear and breezy with lows in the low 50's. Wind out of the NW at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 25 mph.

Tomorrow: Sunny in the morning with increasing clouds in the afternoon with low humidity with highs around 70 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Tomorrow night: Becoming cloudy with rain developing around midnight with lows in the low 50's. Wind out of the S at 5 to 10 mph.

Thursday: Rain ending in the morning with clearing skies later in the afternoon with highs around 70 degrees in Nassau and in the upper 60's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the S at 10 to 15 mph.

Friday: Partly cloudy with highs in the mid to upper 70's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the SSE at 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, very warm, and fairly humid with highs in the mid 80's in Nassau and low 80's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the S at 10 to 15 mph.

Sunday: Partly cloudy in the morning and fairly humid and then mostly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms around mid to late afternoon with highs around 80 degrees in Nassau and upper 70's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the SW at 10 to 15 mph.

Monday: Partly sunny and much cooler and less humid with highs around 70 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the N at 10 to 15 mph.
