Annual Recurrence Interval of over 1000 years in some spots:

From the National Weather Service: Extreme rainfall fell in early September over a large part of the northeast, fueled by Ida remnants. The rainfall amounts had an Annual Recurrence Interval of over 1000 years in some spots; meaning there is only a 0.1% chance of that happening in any given year!
