Another hot one before the cold front brings showers and thunderstorms to the northeast this evening

- The HRRR (2nd image) has higher temperatures on Long Island than the National Weather Service (3rd image) and considering yesterday was hotter than forecast for some parts of Long Island, I'd go with the HRRR.

- Thunderstorms will be weakening tonight as they approach the coast, like usual.

- It still looks like another cold front on Friday with some showers and possibly a thunderstorm with a good chance for nice weather for most, if not all, of the holiday weekend.
