- Beautiful May weather continues this week with just that slight chance of light showers reaching Long Island tomorrow around late morning into early afternoon with most of the rain passing to the southwest of Long Island.
- Really nice weather again from Wednesday to Friday and then some uncertainty as to if/when some showers will arrive later in the weekend.
LONG ISLAND FORECAST:
Today: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 70's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the NNW at 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy with lows in the low 50's in Nassau and around 50 degrees in Suffolk, but some upper 40's in the Pine Barrens area. Wind out of the NNW at around 10 mph.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of light showers between around 9 AM and 2 PM and then becoming partly sunny with highs in the low to mid 60's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the NE at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then out of the ENE at around 10 mph in the afternoon.
Tomorrow night: Partly cloudy with lows in the mid 40's in Nassau and low to mid 40's in Suffolk. Light wind at around 5 mph from the ESE then NE.
Wednesday: Sunny with highs in the upper 60's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind light and variable in the morning and then becoming out of the SW at 5 to 10 mph by late afternoon.
Thursday: Sunny with highs mostly in the mid 70's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind light and variable in the morning and out of the W/SW at 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
Friday: Mostly sunny in the morning and partly cloudy in the afternoon with highs in the upper 70's in Nassau and mid to upper 70's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the W at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then out of the WSW/SW at around 10 mph in the afternoon.
Saturday: Increasing clouds with a slight chance of showers by late afternoon with highs in the upper 70's in Nassau and mid to upper 70's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the NW at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then out of the WSW/SSW at around 10 mph in the afternoon.
Sunday: Partly sunny with a slight chance of showers with highs in the low 70's, but cooler for the south shore and especially the east end. Wind out of the NNE at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then out of the SSE at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
