Another nice day today with a very humid day tomorrow and a hot Wednesday coming:
- I've included the projected highs for today, tomorrow, and Wednesday in the last 3 images with tomorrow being the most humid and Wednesday being the hottest.
- As you can see in the 2nd image, strong thunderstorms inland tomorrow afternoon/evening will weaken as they get to the coast tomorrow evening/night.
LONG ISLAND FORECAST:
Today: Sunny with low to moderate humidity and becoming breezy with highs mostly in the low 80's in Nassau and around 80 in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end, especially by late afternoon. Wind out of the SSW at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and then S at 10 to 20 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight: Clear skies with increasing humidity with lows in the upper 60's. Wind out of the SSW at 10 to 15 mph.
Tomorrow: Mostly sunny, breezy, and very humid with highs in the mid to upper 80's in Nassau and mostly low 80's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the S at 10 to 15 mph in the morning and 15 to 25 mph in the afternoon with gusts over 30 mph along the south shore.
Tomorrow night: Partly to mostly cloudy, very humid, and breezy early with a chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms, mostly between 8 PM and 2 AM. Lows in the low 70's. Wind out of the SSW early at 15 to 20 mph and then shifting to W and then NW after midnight at 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, hot, and moderately humid with highs around 90 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NW in the morning and then SW by late afternoon at 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday: Partly cloudy with highs in the mid 80's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind mostly out of the N at 5 to 10 mph, but shifting to WSW later in the afternoon.
Friday: Partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 80's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. N 5 to 10 mph becoming SSE by late afternoon.
Saturday: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 80's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind nearly calm in the AM and then out of the S at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
