Be advised, late Monday night into Tuesday morning will be brutal:

A lobe of the tropospheric polar vortex (check out the gray fuzzball in the 2nd image) will swing through the northeast Monday night into Tuesday morning bringing brutal wind chills near zero degrees on Long Island (1st image) as the wind may gust up to 40 mph from the northwest (3rd image).
