Beautiful today with sunshine and low humidity:
Great weather today and then mostly cloudy tomorrow, but only a slight chance of a light scattered shower in the afternoon and evening for Long Island. However, there is now a better chance of showers on Sunday with possibly a thunderstorm late in the day or at night. The threat of showers and possibly a thunderstorm will continue into early Monday morning, but then clearing skies in the afternoon with nice weather for Tuesday and Wednesday.
LONG ISLAND FORECAST:
Today: Mostly sunny with low humidity with highs around 80 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind mostly out of the W at around 10 mph.
Tonight: Increasing clouds with lows mostly in the low 60's with some upper 50's in Suffolk. Wind becoming nearly calm towards and after midnight.
Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy with some breaks of partial sunshine and a 20% chance of a couple of light scattered showers in the afternoon with highs in the upper 70's in Nassau and mid 70's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind becoming out of the S in the afternoon at 5 to 10 mph.
Tomorrow night: Mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of light scattered showers in the evening with lows in the low 60's. Wind out of the S at 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy and humid with a 60% chance of showers with a slight chance of a thunderstorm late. Highs in the mid 70's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out S at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
Monday: Humid in the morning with a chance of showers and possibly a thunderstorm early and then becoming partly cloudy with highs in the low 80's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the WNW at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the low 80's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NW at 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70's to near 80 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the ESE at 5 to 10 mph.
