Better agreement now on the track as Tropical Storm Watches are issued for part of Florida:
The models have come into better agreement on a more north to northeasterly track for Tropical Storm Eta, and the National Hurricane Center has followed by adjusting their forecast track. Due to the eastward shift and the storm being stronger on the east side, Tropical Storm Watches has been issued for the central portion of the west coast of Florida. Eta still has a chance to become a minimal hurricane tomorrow or Thursday before steady weakening ensues.
Tropical Storm Theta has 70 mph maximum sustained winds as it continues to head eastward in the Atlantic.
Invest 98L has been designated in the Caribbean, and it has a 70% chance of tropical development within the next 5 days, according to the NHC.
