Big change from the Euro for this weekend, and it also has a snowstorm for LI late next week:

The new Euro run has the storm for Sunday into Sunday night weaker and farther south, so it has much less snow for northern and western New England. It even shows a little snow and sleet at the onset Sunday morning on Long Island.

While it's still more than a week away, it's showing a snowstorm for Long Island and southern New England next Friday into Saturday morning (Jan 8th/9th). It would still be considered a long shot at this point. I will post the ensembles later, so we can see if more of them are showing the snowstorm.

The 1st image is the snow map through 7 AM Tuesday from the Euro, and the video goes from 7 PM tomorrow to 7 AM next Saturday.
