Brief 3:40 AM post with the 5-day forecast, future radar, and temperatures:

Highs in the mid 40's for Long Island today, but temperatures will drop into the upper 30's later this afternoon and mid-afternoon scattered rain showers should become snow showers.

You all know about the very cold air coming for tonight through Tuesday morning.

The future radars below are for today at 3 PM, 5 PM, and 8 PM.

Most of the rain for later in the week will be from Thursday afternoon into early Friday morning with a mild, rainy, and breezy Thursday night with southwesterly winds and a chance of a thunderstorm with moderate to heavy downpours.
