My Personal Weatherman™
Classic 3-day humid heat wave with thunderstorms and then beautiful relief with low humidity!
- No big changes to the forecast really with the hot and humid weather for the next 3 days. The National Weather Service finally extended the Heat Advisory for Long Island until 8 PM Saturday.
- Some strong to potentially severe thunderstorms in the northeast this afternoon into this evening with the main tornado threat being for most of MA (except SE MA) into southern to central NH and southern Maine.
- The cold front comes through Saturday with some scattered thunderstorms, but the exact timing is still uncertain. A thunderstorm can't be ruled out in the morning, but the best chance is late afternoon and early evening for Long Island, but stay tuned.
- Sunday into the middle of next week will be much cooler and much less humid!
- Emily will likely form next week and re-curve and stay east of Bermuda.
