LONG ISLAND FORECAST:
Today: Mostly sunny and still a little breezy with highs in the mid 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NW at 10 to 15 mph with gusts over 20 mph in the morning. There is a slight chance of some sprinkles or a light shower late this afternoon for far eastern Suffolk.
Tonight: Partly cloudy with lows mostly in the upper 40's in Nassau and mid 40's in Suffolk, but some low 40's in the Pine Barrens area of Suffolk. Wind out of the NNW at around 10 mph.
Tomorrow: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Light wind out of the NNW at 5 to 10 mph.
Friday: Mostly sunny in the morning and partly cloudy in the afternoon with highs mostly in the upper 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind of 5 to 10 mph out of the NW in the morning and then SSW by mid-afternoon.
Saturday: Partly cloudy with more clouds by late afternoon with a slight chance of a passing shower with highs mostly in the upper 60's to near 70 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Light and variable wind at around 5 mph.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of a passing shower in the afternoon with highs mostly in the upper 60's to around 70 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Variable wind at around 5 to 10 mph.
Monday: Partly cloudy with highs mostly in the upper 60's to around 70 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end. There is a chance of showers at night.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers with highs in the upper 60's.
