Euro ensembles trend colder and snowier for Long Island:

This is what I was expecting, as more pinks are showing up. It still doesn't guarantee a snowstorm, but there will be some chances, starting with next Friday/Saturday. This is what the National Weather Service covering Long Island and the tri-state are is saying: "There is a low pressure system modeled to pass south of the region during the end of the week. Both the ECMWF and GFS have it. The forecast has been kept dry, consistent with the current progs, but it will be something to watch.
