***Flood Watch later through tonight, nice on Friday, weekend storm brings some wind with 1 to 2 inches of rain with snow for northern New England, very windy on Monday with gusts to 40 mph, then...

... nice and milder later next week, rain next weekend, and then chillier from around March 19th until the end of the month.***

- The rain basically starts a little after Noon on Long Island and becomes moderate to heavy at times from mid-afternoon until roughly 2 or 3 AM. Generally 1.5 to 2.5 inches of rain for most areas with localized amounts over 3 inches being possible. Wind gusts generally max out at around 25 to 30 mph for Long Island and 35 mph for southeastern New England.

- Lingering showers tomorrow and then Friday looks good with mostly sunny skies.

- The weekend storm arrives with rain around late afternoon or early evening on Saturday for Long Island with a rainy and windy Saturday night into Sunday morning. Breezy on Sunday and very windy on Monday with gusts to 40 mph.

- A nice warm-up for the middle to end of next week with temps possibly around 60 degrees on Thursday and Friday.

- It looks like another storm for St. Patrick's Day weekend and then turning colder/chillier for the last 10 to 12 days of the month, so don't rule out snow, especially in the higher elevations to the north.
