Generally dry for the next 5 days and still looking cooler for the middle to end of next week:

Just a very slight chance of a passing shower for Long Island this evening, and tomorrow still looks great with highs in the mid to upper 60's with sunny skies. Sunday now looks warmer than previously expected with highs in the low to mid 60's, and the weekend will generally be partly cloudy.


LONG ISLAND FORECAST:

Today: Partly sunny with more clouds in the afternoon and becoming breezy with highs in the upper 50's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the S at 10 to 20 mph with gusts over 25 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy in the evening with a very slight chance of a light passing shower and then becoming mostly clear after midnight with lows in the mid to upper 40's. Wind out of the SW at 10 to 20 mph.

Tomorrow: Sunny with highs mostly in the mid to upper 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the NW at 10 to 20 mph.

Tomorrow night: Mostly clear with lows in the low to mid 40's. Wind out of the N at 10 to 15 mph.

Saturday: Partly cloudy with highs in the upper 50's. Wind out of the NNE in the morning at 5 to 10 mph and then SSW in the afternoon at around 10 mph.

Sunday: Partly cloudy with highs in the mid 60's in Nassau and in the low to mid 60's in Suffolk, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind generally out of the SE at 10 to 15 mph.

Monday: Mostly cloudy with highs mostly in the upper 50's. Wind out of the ESE at 10 to 15 mph.

Tuesday: Cloudy with showers likely with highs in the low 60's. Wind mostly out of the ENE at 5 to 10 mph.
