GFS and Euro remain far apart on Long Island temperatures for Saturday and Sunday:

The GFS continues to show temperatures as high as 98 degrees on Saturday and 93 degrees on Sunday with the Euro showing highs mostly in the low to possibly mid 70's. The truth will of course be somewhere in the middle with highs mostly in the low to mid 80's on Saturday and low to possibly mid 80's on Sunday before the thunderstorms arrive around late afternoon into the evening. The Euro ensemble mean gives a better idea than the main Euro run as the ensemble mean for Farmingdale is 80 on Saturday and 82 on Sunday. Also, the model blend shows 82 on Saturday and 81 on Sunday.

It will be much cooler then for next Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the upper 60's.

A quick note regarding temperatures tomorrow: The highs can be up to 5 degrees cooler or warmer than forecast depending on how quickly the warm front clears the area.
