LONG ISLAND FORECAST:
Today: Mostly sunny with highs mostly in the low 70's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind mostly out of the NW at around 5 mph.
Tonight: Partly cloudy with lows ranging from the low to mid 50's for Nassau and western Suffolk to possibly the low to mid 40's in the Pine Barrens area of Suffolk. Light and variable wind at 5 mph or less.
Tomorrow: Mostly sunny with a few more clouds in the afternoon with highs mostly in the low 70's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Light and variable wind at around 5 mph in the morning shifting to SSW by mid to late afternoon at around 10 mph.
Tomorrow night: Partly cloudy with lows ranging from the low to mid 50's for Nassau and western Suffolk to the mid 40's in the Pine Barrens area of Suffolk. Wind becoming light at around 5 mph from the SSW to W.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with a 30% chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon with highs mostly around 70 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the W in the morning at around 5 mph and then out of the SSW in the afternoon at around 10 mph.
Monday: Partly cloudy in the morning and mostly cloudy in the afternoon with a 20% chance of a shower with highs in the mid to upper 60's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind from the W in the morning at around 5 mph and then from the S at around 10 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower, mostly in the morning, with highs mostly around 70 degrees, but cooler for the south shore and east end.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid 70's, but cooler for the south shore and east end.
Thursday: Mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 70's, but cooler for the south shore and east end.
