LONG ISLAND FORECAST:
Today (Father's Day): Mostly sunny with highs mostly in the mid to upper 80's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the WSW at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and out of the SSW at 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight: Partly cloudy with lows around 70 in Nassau and mostly upper 60's in Suffolk. Wind out of the S to SSW at around 10 mph.
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy, humid, and breezy in the afternoon with only a very slight chance of an isolated shower or thunderstorm. Highs mostly in the low to mid 80's, but cooler for the south shore and east end. Wind out of the S at 5 to 10 mph in the morning and around 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon.
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy and humid with a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms at times with the potential for heavy downpours. Highs mostly in the upper 70's to low 80's. Wind of around 10 to 15 mph out of the SW in the morning and possibly shifting to NW by late afternoon.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny and less humid with highs mostly in the mid 70's. Wind out of the NW at 5 to 10 mph.
Thursday: Sunny with low humidity with highs in the upper 70's.
Friday: Partly cloudy with highs in the upper 70's to around 80 degrees.
Saturday: Partly sunny and more humid with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs around 80 degrees.
