I only had to look at this wind matrix from the Euro ensemble members for 1 second to see that there is the potential for a high wind event sometime between December 10th and 14th. The orange and red colors really stand out, and there are even some brown ones in there! This map is for the National Weather Service office on Long Island, and these winds are in knots, which makes it even more impressive! It's nothing to worry about now though, so let's see how it progresses, but I'll be keeping an eye on it.
