Humid with more sun and building heat, but not a great weekend:

- The high humidity will continue for Long Island through this weekend.

- Filtered sunshine though mid and high level clouds this afternoon and much warmer than yesterday.

- Very warm and humid Thursday and then hot and humid on Friday with highs mostly in the low 90's on Long Island with a heat index of 95 to 100 degrees.

- Periods of showers and thunderstorms at times with the potential for heavy downpours between Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening. It won't be raining the entire time though and most of Saturday afternoon may be dry. There is a much better chance of thunderstorms Saturday evening/night and then again on Sunday.
