Increased severe thunderstorm threat for tomorrow afternoon/evening:
The main threat for the yellow area, besides heavy rain and frequent lightning, is potentially damaging wind gusts. The yellow area has a 15% chance of seeing wind gusts over 57 mph within 25 miles of any given location.
The following is from the Storm Prediction Center: The greatest potential for a few stronger cells -- capable of producing a few strong/severe wind gusts -- appears to be most likely over portions of southern New England and into parts of the Mid-Atlantic region. As such, a small SLGT risk area is being added to this area.
