Incredible warmth through Monday and then much cooler, followed by late-week rain:

- Any showers for Sunday should stay just west and northwest of Long Island. A cold front comes through Monday evening/night, so MUCH cooler for Tuesday and Wednesday with highs in the upper 50's Tuesday and mid 50's Wednesday. Rain eventually moves northward for next Friday.

- Complex systems off the southeast coast kind of merge into a potential subtropical system that will bring rain for the southeast and prolonged winds off the ocean with gusts up to 50 mph for areas right along the water from northern Florida to North Carolina for the middle of next week.
