Introducing Sally! Major problems ahead!
Tropical Depression Nineteen has been upgraded to Tropical Storm Sally, and it will likely become a hurricane before landfall along the central Gulf Coast on Tuesday. It could be anywhere from a Cat 1 to a Cat 3 (check out what the HWRF model is showing in the last image) at landfall. It will be moving slowly as it nears the coast, so 10 to 15 inches of rain will be possible over a few days, mainly on the east side of the storm.
I will have more updates. Also, Invest 95L will likely become a Tropical Depression fairly soon and then become Tropical Storm Teddy. The system farther east is now being classified as Invest 97L, and it will probably eventually become Tropical Storm Vicki and not cause any problems as it curves northwestward early on.
