July-feel for today and an update on thunderstorms, rain, the tropics, and a nice weekend coming:

- You all know about the heat for today (2nd image) and the backdoor cold front that will bring much cooler air from east to west today into this evening. It should reach eastern Long Island by mid to late afternoon. So highs will be around 25 degrees cooler tomorrow with low 90's today and mid to upper 60's tomorrow for Long Island.

- There is a good chance for showers and possibly a thunderstorm with some moderate to heavy downpours tomorrow evening, especially between around 9 PM and midnight on Long Island (see 3rd image).

- More showers for Thursday night into Friday morning, and then a nice weekend!

- There is now a 60% chance of tropical development within the next 5 days for the system that will be heading towards southern Florida for Friday into Saturday (see 4th and 5th images), where it will bring a lot of rain (7th image). It will then likely strengthen as it heads northeastward, out to sea.
