Latest maps from the new HRRR and HREF:
The 1st image shows the projected snowfall from the HREF ensemble mean.
The 2nd to 5th images show the simulated future radar for 7 PM, 11 PM, 2 AM, and 5 AM. For Long Island, it will be all snow (heavy at times) until at least midnight or maybe 1 AM. The strong winds will also create near-blizzard conditions after 9 PM. Then sleet starts to take over after 1 AM with rain eventually for southeastern Suffolk.
