Long Island forecast as the snow winds down, and a look at the next storm with a GFS video:

- I haven't seen all of the reports yet, but it seems like a general 2 to 4 inches of snow for most of Long Island, and with the exception of eastern Long Island, the accumulating snow is basically over. I will post the final snowfall amounts when they are posted by the National Weather Service.

- No changes overall to the late-week storm, although the Canadian came in farther south with the snow/ice, but the Euro came in farther north with it, and the Euro ensembles seem most like the Euro. So, for Long Island, that probably means a brief period of snow/sleet around late morning or more likely early afternoon before changing to rain and becoming windy as well with a rainy/windy Friday night ahead. The new GFS is rolling out now, so I have included a video below from Friday morning to Saturday morning, and I have also included the Model Blend snow map below, but it also includes some snow for today, but I will post more snow maps and have more updates today.
