Mild and unsettled weather continues for now, but still watching potential storms towards mid-month:

- The details for Long Island are in the forecast below as the mild and unsettled weather continues this week, but it will turn cooler later in the week and fairly cold for the weekend and beyond with temperatures overall only slightly above normal.

- There are 2 windows for potential storms that could bring snow to parts of the northeast with the first being around Jan 12th and the second being around Jan 15th. I wish the new Euro run would be right as it's showing an all-out blizzard for Long Island and eastern New England on the 12th, but the chances are still very low for now as it doesn't have much ensemble support. For now, we just have to watch it and see how things develop.
