After 50-degree temperatures today on Long Island, everything will freeze tonight as lows will be in the low to mid 20's. Temperatures should drop below freezing between 10 PM and midnight.
The new 06Z Euro continues with the later timing with the snow starting on Long Island around mid-afternoon on Thursday and then changing to sleet/ freezing rain around 3 AM Friday and not changing to rain until around 8 AM and ending by early afternoon.
